Colonya is one of only two savings banks in the Spanish financial system. It was founded in Pollença (Mallorca) in 1880 by Mr. Guillem Cifre de Colonya. Following his death, his wife Clara Hammerl took the helm. The core values of our founders have been at the heart of our bank from the outset.
As a savings bank, Colonya puts its profits back into society through the Guillem Cifre de Colonya Foundation, doings its bit for social welfare, culture, sports and the environment, to name but a few.
Colonya currently has 24 branches: 18 in Mallorca, 4 in Menorca and 2 in Ibiza.
